      Ana Ventuneac is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine – Infectious Diseases and Director of HIV Behavioral Research at the Clinical and Translational Research Center, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.  She has conducted complex mixed methods and longitudinal studies primarily randomized controlled trials and comparative effectiveness research to test behavioral interventions in reducing HIV-transmission risks and in improving HIV-related health outcomes among persons from diverse backgrounds and from underserved communities.  She is the Principal Investigator of a NIDA-funded grant to integrate substance use services to detect and treat HIV-positive patients who are receiving care at the Institute for Advanced Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Ventuneac is a Faculty Affiliate at CHEST.
