• About:

Gregory Kurgansky is currently studying Public Policy and Economics at Hunter College. He is interested in pursuing a medical degree after graduating from Hunter College, and would love to work on the health policy of New York City. Outside of school, he currently volunteers at NYU Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and has been there for the past 5 years. He also scribes for Interventional Neuro Associates, INA, which is a revolutionary practice of stroke specialists that serve several undeserved areas of Brooklyn. In addition, he is currently a research assistant at the Craniofacial Orthopedic Biomaterials Research Analysis Lab, COBRA. Under the direction of Dr. Coelho, the lab conducts research that seeks to improve bone regeneration, implant stability, cleft palate/lip deformities, and a myriad of other surgical outcomes. Although he is very interested in the clinical side, he is also motivated to see his future proposals create positive socio-economic changes in the community that can lead to higher rates of healthier families. Regarding his hobbies, he enjoys playing tennis on the weekends and did ballroom dancing professionally for 10+ years. Overall, he enjoys being an outgoing individual and having patient interaction but also greatly values developing the skills that can enable him to influence changes as a medical administrator.
