Jessica Mendieta is a Senior in the Roosevelt Scholars Cohort at Hunter College, and was a JFEW Eleanor Roosevelt Scholar during 2014-2016. She has worked at the Welcome Center as a Student Ambassador, joined the Model United Nations Team, and interned at the City Council Speaker’s Office and Youth Action YouthBuild in East Harlem. The Public Policy Program inspired her to pursue a career in policy research and analysis, and will move to Washington D.C. in search of opportunities to evaluate education, housing, and other issues that affect the Hispanic community in the United States to advance opportunities for younger generations, but will apply for an MPP in the near future.
