      Joy Nuga ’17, is a Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College student studying Economics, International Relations, German, and completing the Certificate in Public Policy at Roosevelt House. While at Hunter, Joy has been active in Hunter’s Undergraduate Student Government, Hunter’s Pre-Business Student Society, Hunter College’s Senate as Vice-Chair, and was recently named a 2016 Public Policy and International Affairs Fellow at Heinz College, Carnegie Mellon University. Joy is also active in CUNY Student Life as a Co-Organizer for TEDxCUNY, the largest TEDxUniversity Conference in the nation representationally.

      Interested in the crossroads of heterodoxy economics, technology, and public policy, Joy focused her public policy capstone on barriers to comprehensive cybersecurity policy, Internet governance and privacy. She hopes to further develop and implement these ideas in both the private sector and public office. Joy is also interested in Participatory Architecture and Sustainable Investing.
