Mark S. King has been writing and advocating as a man living with HIV since testing positive in March of 1985, the week the HIV test became publicly available. His blog, My Fabulous Disease, has received numerous awards, most recently being named 2016 Outstanding Blog by the National Gay and Lesbian Journalists Association, and receiving a nomination for a 2015 GLAAD Media Award. His writing has been featured in The New York Times, Newsweek, POZ, and The Advocate. In 2015, HIV Equal named King one of “13 Legendary Activists in the Fight Against HIV.”  King has appeared as a spokesperson on ABC News, 48 Hours, CNN News and in The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. Mark is excited about his role as panel host and facilitator today. “I’m the ultimate ‘end user’ of so much of the research that has been done to improve the lives and well being of people living with HIV,” he said. “So I’m honored to be here and help them share their incredible work.”
