Olson’s last book, Citizens of London, was named one of the top books of 2010 by the American Library Association and her writing has appeared in numerous publications including: The Washington Post, American Heritage, Smithsonian, Working Woman, Los Angeles Times Magazine, Ms., Elle, Glamour, Washington Journalism Review and Baltimore Magazine.
