About the Speaker:

Betsy Super is Fellow and Associate Director for International Programs at the American Political Science Association. As Associate Director, she oversees and facilitates international program initiatives, including the Mellon Foundation-funded Africa Workshops, APSA committees, the APSA Presidential Task Force on Electoral Rules and Democratic Governance, and relations with international members and associations. As Fellow, she continues to research and publish on political participation, parties, and the macro-politics of immigration policy. Prior to joining APSA, Betsy received her BA from Dartmouth College and PhD from the University of Edinburgh, where she also served as the first Project Officer at the Public Policy Network and as an ESRC-funded Research Associate. Betsy started her professional career working on John Kerry’s 2004 presidential campaign, and is a veteran of political campaigns at the local, state, and national level in the US and Scottish Parliamentary elections.
