PROGRAM

Roosevelt House, Public Policy Institute at Hunter College, invites you to a film screening of OPEN PROCESS, followed by a Q&A with: Tamara Gubernat: Filmmaker, Activist, & co-director of Open Process and Jan Peterson: Community Board 1 Member, Community Activist, & Women’s Rights Advocate.

Open Process reveals the human side of community boards, the most local form of government in New York City. In Greenpoint and Williamsburg; gentrification, environmental injustices, over-saturation of liquor license applications and large-scale land rezoning are all on the agenda as Open Process examines the value of civic participation through the stories of Brooklyn Community Board 1 members, residents and neighborhoods.
