PUBLIC POLICY PROGRAM

The Public Policy Program (P-cubed) is an 18-credit undergraduate minor open to students in all disciplines. Students also have an option to pursue 9 additional credits (for a total of 27 credits) to receive a Certificate in Public Policy. The Roosevelt House program is based on the understanding that the preparation of informed citizens is essential to a healthy democracy and an important aspect of a liberal arts education. Unlike most graduate programs in public policy that are designed to prepare people for careers in the public and nonprofit sectors, the undergraduate program at Roosevelt House provides students with knowledge and skills that enable them to be active participants in a democratic society.

Many of its graduates will undoubtedly go on to careers in the public and nonprofit sectors. Capable citizenship, however, is required in all walks of life; therefore the program can benefit all students regardless of their stated major, career goals, or personal objectives.
