      Alexandre A. Zelinski is a Senior at Hunter College, majoring in Accounting with economic concentration, receiving a Public Policy Certificate with economic focus, minoring in Women & Gender Studies with economic inclination, and receiving a minor in Economics.

      At Hunter, Alex served as the Secretary of the Accounting Society. Having received training from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), he participated in the Accounting Society’s Voluntary Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program in 2017, where students from the Hunter College Accounting Department filed taxes for low-income New Yorkers pro bono.

      In addition to being a full-time student, Alex also works full-time for a boutique accounting firm in Midtown, where he prepares financial reports for small and mid-size companies and non-profit organizations.

      Outside of his field of accountancy, Alex enjoys keeping up with current events, and engages in political discussions. He has participated in three conferences for Hunter College’s National Model United Nations team and served as their Vice President in his final year at Hunter.

      After graduation, Alex will be traveling back home to Germany to visit his parents, grandparents, and beloved French Bulldog! Upon returning, Alex will continue working for his current accounting firm, and will begin preparing for the New York State Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Exam.
