About:
Edward Friedman is a fourth-year student at the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter. Born with cerebral palsy, he advocates tirelessly for disability rights and the full inclusion of people with disabilities in our society. He will graduate in Spring 2018 with a B.A. in Political Science, Certificates in Public Policy and Human Rights, and Minors in Legal Studies and International Relations. At Hunter, Edward is a member of the College Senate and the Roosevelt House Student Advisory Board.
Passionate about public service, Edward has also worked at both government agencies and non-profit organizations in New York City. He sits on New York City Transit’s Paratransit Advisory Committee and is also an Officer on the Junior Board of INCLUDEnyc, a non-profit organization that advocates for young adults with disabilities and their families in New York City.
