Jonathan Cutler is Chair of the Sociology Department at Wesleyan University and author of Labor’s Time: Shorter Hours, the UAW, and the Struggle for American Unionism (Temple University Press). His commentaries and analyses of the labor movement have been featured in The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Hartford Courant, National Public Radio, Bloomberg Radio, and The Street along with articles published on the Op-Ed pages of The Los Angeles Times, The Christian Science Monitor, and The Hartford Courant. As a celebrated lecturer at Wesleyan University he has the honor and distinction of being the youngest professor at Wesleyan ever awarded the prestigious Binswanger Prize for Excellence in Teaching.
