      Juan Diaz is a senior majoring in Sociology. He is pursuing a certificate in Public Policy and a minor
      in Human Rights at the Roosevelt House. During his time at Hunter College, he developed
      interests in housing, criminal and immigration policy issues.

      As a Grove Fellow and as an intern at The Fortune Society, Juan conducted research on mass
      incarceration, alternatives to incarceration and reentry programs. His Public Policy Capstone
      project will be dedicated to improving the access to affordable housing for immigrant families in
      NYC.

      Upon graduation, Juan will pursue a Master of Public Administration degree at Baruch College
      starting the fall 2018. He will dedicate his career to public service as an immigrant advocate in
      the nonprofit or city government sectors. Juan strongly believes in providing equal opportunities
      to all individuals, and supports policies that enable upward mobility.
