• About:

Kait Saier is currently a senior at Hunter College, pursuing a degree in Political Science and a certificate in Public Policy from the Roosevelt House. Her interest in politics also led her to the JFEW Eleanor Roosevelt Scholars Program. Kait is passionate about public service and her interests center on how women relate to major contemporary policy issues, such as education and gun control. Her Public Policy capstone research paper focuses on how relaxed gun laws relate to high rates of intimate partner homicide and proposes specific policy recommendations to mitigate this issue.

Currently, Kait works as the Campaign Assistant at Jeffries for Congress, supporting Congressman Hakeem Jeffries of New York District 8. Before attending college, she worked in the nonprofit sector and in childcare, with a significant period spent working in the midlands of England. Originally from Kentucky, Kait considers New York her true home and is still amazed by its people and opportunities. During her infrequent downtime, she enjoys rereading Harry Potter and taking naps.
