About:

Maria Ledesma is a junior at Hunter College, majoring in political science and special honors. She is also pursuing a certificate in public policy at the Roosevelt House. A JFEW Eleanor Roosevelt scholar, a Public Service scholar, and as the president of the Political Science Student Association at Hunter, she is deeply committed to learning about policy in order to effect change in her community. Previously, Maria has interned with NYPIRG, the City Council, and at Legal Momentum. Her experience at these organizations and agencies has fostered in her a desire to pursue a J.D. upon completing her undergraduate studies in the spring of 2017.
