Rohit T. “Rit” Aggarwala leads the sustainability practice at Bloomberg Associates; advises former New York City mayor Michael R. Bloomberg in his role as UN Special Envoy for Cities and Climate Change; and teaches at Columbia University.

Rit has served as Special Advisor to the Chair of the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group; developed the environmental program at Bloomberg Philanthropies; and led New York City’s Office of Long-Term Planning and Sustainability, which created and implemented “PlaNYC: A Greener, Greater New York.”

Rit holds a BA, MBA, and PhD from Columbia University, and an MA from Queen’s University in Ontario.
