Bio:
Professor Angelis’s teaching and research interests range from the early colonial era to the formation of the U.S. Constitution and include Bacon’s Rebellion, the Stamp Act protests, Shays’s Rebellion, the early state constitutions and early American rebellions. Professor Angelis serves as an undergraduate adviser for the History Department and has served on the college senate and on a number of college-wide committees, including the First-Year Initiative, Student Elections and the Undergraduate Course of Study Committee. He has also contributed as a lecturer to a number of workshops and programs involving the teaching of history and social studies, including those sponsored by the Museum of the City of New York, the New York Historical Society and the Museum of Natural History.
