Please join us for a conference marking a special issue of the U.K. medical journal The Lancet, ‘America: Equity and Equality in Health’ (published 8 April 2017), curated by Hunter College Distinguished Professors, Drs. Steffie Woolhandler and David Himmelstein.

The conference will feature leading health care experts, including New York City Health Commissioner Dr. Mary Bassett, a Lancet special issue author; Dr. Paul Krugman, Distinguished Professor of Economics at the CUNY Graduate Center, and columnist for The New York Times; and Hunter College Distinguished Professor Dr. David Himmelstein. Discussion will be moderated by Dr. Lilliam Barrios-Paoli, Senior Advisor to the President of Hunter College and former Chair of the Board of New York City’s public hospitals.
