PROGRAM

Leading human rights activist, lawyer, and Co-Chairperson of the Malaysian Bar Council’s Human Rights Committee, Andrew Khoo, will be joining us fresh from representing Malaysian NGOs at the previous week’s review of Malaysia at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

To call attention to the long-overlooked climate of repression in Malaysia, Hunter has invited Mr. Khoo to New York, and in collaboration with Human Rights Watch, will be facilitating his upcoming visit to Washington, D.C. to discuss US policy towards Malaysia in advance of President Obama’s trip to the country in April.

Lunch will be served – Seats are limited.

Preference to those who RSVP to Human Rights Program Associate, Steffan Horowitz, at shoro@hunter.cuny.edu

This event is sponsored by the Hunter College Human Rights Program.
