Please join us at Roosevelt House as we welcome Clay Risen, deputy op-ed editor at The New York Times, to discuss his new book, The Crowded Hour: Theodore Roosevelt, the Rough Riders, and the Dawn of the American Century. It tells the dramatic story of the most famous regiment in American history: the Rough Riders, led by Eleanor Roosevelt’s “Uncle Teddy,” whose daring exploits propelled him into the national spotlight and made him an American hero. The discussion will be moderated by Patricia O’Toole, historian and author of five books, including When Trumpets Call: Theodore Roosevelt after the White House, and most recently The Moralist: Woodrow Wilson and the World He Made.
