BIOS

Sidney Beaumont has worked in television, documentaries, and feature films in a variety of roles including show runner, executive producer, producer, and director. As Executive Producer for Media & Entertainment at RadicalMedia, he executive produced a number of projects including: the Academy-nominated and Emmy-winning What Happened, Miss Simone? (Netflix); Made In America, a feature documentary about Jay Z’s music festival in Philadelphia (Showtime); United States of America v. James J. Bulger, a feature documentary about the notorious Boston gangster Whitey Bulger (CNN FiIms); The System with Joe Berlinger, a multi-part television series about the criminal justice system (Al Jazeera America); Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory, the critically acclaimed, Academy-nominated feature documentary (HBO); Visionaries, a series featuring eminent artists and creators (OWN); Dean of Invention, a series showcasing developments on the technological frontier (Discovery Networks); Earth 2050: The Future of Energy (Discovery Networks); and Iconoclasts, the critically acclaimed series (Sundance Channel), as well as many short form and digital projects including the YouTube Channel THNKR. Other past roles include producer for the Robert Redford directed segment of Cathedrals of Culture, a multi-part international series about celebrated architecture; supervising producer for the ten-part, Emmy award winning History Channel series 10 Days That Unexpectedly Changed America, for which he also produced the episode titled When America Was Rocked.

Katherine Oliver is a principal at Bloomberg Associates, an international philanthropic consulting firm founded by former New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg. In her position overseeing the media and digital strategies portfolio, Katherine helps cities harness the power of media and technology to improve government services, and advises them how to attract and promote businesses to support economic growth in these sectors.  Katherine also oversees Bloomberg Philanthropies’ support for film, TV and digital projects and serves as an Executive Producer on From the Ashes, the first feature film produced by Bloomberg Philanthropies and RadicalMedia. From the Ashescaptures Americans in communities across the country as they wrestle with the legacy of the coal industry and what its future should be. Prior to joining Bloomberg Associates, Katherine served as Commissioner of NYC’s Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment from 2002-2013. Under Katherine, the City instituted the first and only municipal-based tax credit in the film industry, and initiated a program to train unemployed and underemployed New Yorkers for work in film and TV production. By the end of the Bloomberg administration, 300 feature films and over 100 TV shows were being shot each year in New York City, and more than a quarter million people were employed in the tech industry.
