A screening of Hunter Film and Media Department’s Professor Kelly Anderson’s film “My Brooklyn: Unmasking the Takeover of America’s Hippest City” and a talkback exploring the issues raised by Anderson’s personal journey, as a Brooklyn “gentrifier” who moved there in 1988, to understand the forces reshaping her neighborhood along lines of race and class. Part of the “Changing New York” series.
My Brooklyn is directed by Kelly Anderson and produced by Allison Lirish Dean, a graduate of the Master’s Program in Urban Planning at Hunter College.
