Grove Fellows in Christine Quinn’s Cohort

Edward Friedman is a Macaulay Honors student who is committed to improving access for people with disabilities. He has interned at Human Rights Watch, the New York City Council, and the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities. He is also a member of the College Senate, the City’s Paratransit Advisory Committee, and the Junior Board of INCLUDEnyc. Edward plans to obtain a joint JD/MPP to continue to advocate for the rights of people with disabilities.

Majors: Political Science

 

Tom Hutton wrote a capstone projects about climate change policy in the U.S. As a student in the Public Policy Program, he has a particular interest in urban and environmental policy. He has interned for the Mayor’s Office of Research and Media Analysis, has done research for the CUNY Institute for Sustainable Cities, and volunteers for Generation Citizen, a non-profit organization.

Majors: Political Science, Environmental Studies

 

 

Sarah Lamsifer is a Senior in the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College. She has participated in a wide array of extracurricular activities, including the Political Science Association and Model UN. During the summer of 2016, Sarah interned on Capitol Hill, working in the office of Senator Gillibrand and providing research support to the Senator’s Legislative Counsel. She is an aspiring attorney and plans to focus her passion for international relations at law school upon graduation.

Major: Political Science

 

Christopher Sperrazza is a Senator for the Student Government at Hunter, and a prospective Thomas Hunter Honors Scholar. Outside of school, he is the Special Events Coordinator for the Association for a Better New York, and the Deputy Student Caucus chairman for the Queens County Young Democrats. With a passion for public service, Christopher has aspirations to one day hold elected office in his home borough of Queens.
