Roosevelt House is proud to be a 2010 recipient of the prestigious National Endowment for the Humanities “We the People” project grant.

The goal of the “We the People” initiative is to

“encourage and strengthen the teaching, study and understanding of American history and culture through the support of projects that explore significant events and themes in our nation’s history and culture and that advance knowledge of the principles that define America.”

Roosevelt House is grateful to the NEH for the opportunity to apply this project grant to the research and development of new curated programs and historical components to enliven the house and expand our audience, while broadening our understanding of the Roosevelts as New Yorkers.
