Celia Sandys, internationally acclaimed author, television presenter, and granddaughter of Sir Winston Churchill, provides insight into Churchill’s extraordinary leadership skills and his fascinating political and personal life. The lecture coincided with the opening of the new exhibition at The Morgan Library & Museum entitled “Churchill: The Power of Words” (June 8 to September 23, 2012).  The exhibition highlights the brilliance of Churchill’s writings and speeches by showcasing letters, correspondence, artifacts, photographs and original sound recordings.

This lecture, part of The Tina Santi Flaherty-Winston Churchill Literary Series, was presented in partnership with The Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute at Hunter College, and The Writing Center at Hunter College. The series will continue at Roosevelt House in September 2012.
