 About Danielle Allen

Allen is director of the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics and James Bryant Conant University Professor at Harvard University and the Social Science Research Council’s 2017 Democracy Fellow.  Her most recent books include Cuz: The Life and Times of Michael A. (2017) and Education and Equality (2016).  Allen’s new work on political equality reimagines theories of justice, reconsidering liberalism as aspiring to freedom from domination rather than freedom as autonomy.
