PROGRAM
The LGBTQ Policy Center at Roosevelt House invites you to attend a new public program presented in-person and on Zoom “The LGBTQ Homelessness Crisis in New York”
According to UCLA’s William’s Institute, LGBTQ adults are far more likely to experience homelessness than the general population. In particular, homelessness rates are highest among transgender, Black and Latinx LGBTQ people. The crisis is especially acute for LGBTQ youth, who comprise up to 40% of the nation’s homeless youth.
This event will bring together leading policymakers and advocates to discuss the root causes of the LGBTQ homelessness crisis in New York as well as proposed policy solutions.
